Return and replace on one ticket, with a fee only a manager can remove
Cashiers return items from a past receipt onto the ticket already open and ring up the replacement straight away. A restocking fee is added automatically to every return, unless the return reason is exempt or a manager approves removing it.
Key Features
- Exchange button: returns and replacements on the same ticket
- Automatic restocking fee: percentage of returned value or a fixed amount per ticket
- Return reasons, with fee-exempt reasons such as Defective or Warranty
- Manager override by badge or PIN, recorded on the order and the receipt
- Fee applies to Refund-button returns too, so it cannot be bypassed
- Works offline; conflicting offline returns are flagged for review

Configuration
Open a register under Point of Sale → Configuration → Point of Sales and set the fee in Exchanges & Restocking Fee. Manage reasons under Point of Sale → Configuration → Return Reasons. Set the income account and taxes on the Restocking Fee product.
