This module transforms Odoo's standard timesheet functionality into a powerful, automated billing system. It introduces precise start and end times, multi-level custom rounding logic based on project type, complete automation for Overtime (OT) and Double Time (DT) billing rates, and intelligent merging capabilities.
Key Features
- Adds Start Time and End Time fields to all timesheets.
- Automatically syncs the timesheet date with the entered Start Time.
- Rounds timer clicks to the nearest minute for clean data entry.
- Extends timer functionality to Helpdesk Tickets and Project/Field Service Tasks.
- Adds "Log Dispatch Travel" & "Log Return Travel" buttons to Field Service tasks.
- Travel time is logged as raw, non-rounded hours and is exempt from all rounding rules.
- Displays correct decimal hour totals (e.g., 6.50) on Sales Order buttons.
- Adds Start Time and End Time columns to the Timesheet Analysis Report and Customer Portal.
Automatic Overtime (OT) & Double Time (DT)
This module automatically selects the correct Sales Order Item based on your custom billing rules. When a timesheet is started or created, the system checks the time and date (using 'America/Port_of_Spain' timezone) and applies the correct rate.
- Standard Time: Work started between 8:00 AM and 4:30 PM on a weekday.
- Overtime (OT): Work started before 8:00 AM or after 4:30 PM on a weekday, or any time on a Saturday.
- Double Time (DT): Work started any time on a Sunday or a Public Holiday (requires Time Off module to be installed and configured).
If the correct (OT) or (DT) item (e.g., "Aloha Support (OT)") is not found on the Sales Order, the module automatically adds it to the SO with a quantity of 1, ensuring you can always bill correctly.
Advanced Merging & Smart Invoicing
Smart Timesheet Merging
The custom Merge Wizard allows you to combine multiple timesheets while defining a specific New Start & End Time.
- Preserves the calculated Duration.
- Recalculates OT/DT Rates: If you merge two Standard timesheets into a slot that falls on a Saturday, the result is automatically converted to Overtime.
- Combines descriptions intelligently.
Invoice Integration
Seamlessly links your timesheet data to your accounting workflow.
- Related Timesheets Tab: Adds a tab to Customer Invoices showing exactly which Standard, OT, or DT timesheets are being billed.
- Smart Email Templates: Automatically detects when an Invoice contains timesheets and forces the "Invoice with Timesheets" email template, bypassing standard defaults.
Advanced, Multi-Level Rounding Rules
Rounding logic is automatically applied based on the type of project, giving you unparalleled flexibility.
Field Service (Project ID 2)
- Minimum 1 Hour billable.
- 10-Minute Grace Period: Rounds up to the next hour *only if* time is 11+ minutes past the hour. (e.g., 1 hour 10 mins = 1.0 hr).
Wagos Internal (Project ID 1)
- 0-20 mins: 0.25 hr
- 21-35 mins: 0.50 hr
- 36-50 mins: 0.75 hr
- 5-Minute Grace: 1 hr 5 mins rounds down to 1.0 hr.
Standard / Helpdesk
- 0-19 mins: 0.25 hr
- 20-34 mins: 0.50 hr
- 35-49 mins: 0.75 hr
- 4-Minute Grace: 1 hr 4 mins rounds down to 1.0 hr.
